When performing semi-annual inspections on your Seattle roof, do them in the late fall and early spring. Look for loose shingles, or missing or cracked tiles. Check flashings around chimneys, vents and skylights, and other roof penetrations on your roof. Also check the fascia boards near the joints of all eave metal for signs of leaks or rot. Keep roof gutters and downspouts clean and free of leaves and other debris, try to keep trees trimmed and away from the building.
